Concept

Just like Le Corbusier, Frank Lloyd Wright and Antoni Gaudi, art is an essential part of the entire creative oeuvre of Mr. Ben Ryuki Miyagi, an architect, artist, designer,visionary, thinker, poet, optimist. Just like Le Corbusier, Mr. Miyagi spends every morning painting artworks, before he goes on to work as an architect in the afternoon. Artworks by Mr. Ben Ryuki Miyagi are influenced by contemporary pop art, abstract expressionism, impressionism, color field paintings and conceptual art. Favorite artists are Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Van Gogh, Philip Guston, Cy Twombly, Jean Michel Basquait, Any Warhol, Takashi Murakami, Yoshitomo Nara.

Mr. Ben Ryuki Miyagi's Profile:

Education:

Princeton University
(New Jersey, USA) Master of Architecture, 2000

Parsons School of Design
(New York City, USA) Bachelor of Fine Arts, Environmental Design, 1995

License:
Licensed and registered architect, New York State, USA.

Mr. Miyagi was born and raised in Japan as a native Japanese to ordinary Japanese parents. A few months after graduating from a high school in Japan, he moved to the USA to study architecture.

While Mr. Miyagi's architecture office is headquartered in New York State, USA, currently Mr. Miyagi spends a lot of time in Kyoto Japan, where he is working on several local architecture projects.

Art has always been an integral part of Mr. Miyagi's creative imagination as an architect. Recent Covid pandemic allowed Mr. Miyagi to start spending much more time realizing creative imaginations he always had, but never had time to make.

Now, at TRiCERA we are starting to see some of the newest art works by Mr. Miyagi. Much more works are expected to be produced in coming years.
