Biography

I live and work in São Paulo City, a nutty and wonderful megalopolis.

After high school I had entered the Fine Arts course in F.A.A.P, developing my skills through workshops especially photography. As always, with great interest, I have entered many courses and workshops in the field of photo and fine arts. In 1991, I have opened my own studio and carried out many works for different companies.

In 1996 I have started to develop works for publishers, used mainly in periodical magazines as illustrations for issues and cover page, adopting the name RICARDO AZEVEDO, which I have to change due to a homonimous. Two years later, I began to mix techniques (sculpture, drawing, painting and photo) to produce photo-illustration published in those magazines.

I was awarded with the "24th PRÊMIO ABRIL DE JORNALISMO 1999", in the category DESIGN-ILLUSTRATION with a work made for the male magazine VIP, selected amongst hundreds of works published in 1998.

Currently I am dedicated to artistic/conceptual sculpture full time.
