Concept

This image is of one of the dominant male tiger, named Kumbha from Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve, Rajasthan, India. The tiger was hiding behind the stack of rocks and I had conceived this image in my mind. The situation was perfect to make this image, only if Tiger looks into my lens. But, this was not enough, as I didn’t have a clear view of Tiger and I had to climb on the top of the Safari Jeep, with barely nothing to hold to get balance. I stood up, holding my camera pointing at Tiger and my efforts paid off as he looked at me. My awkward position was quiet an alarming one and I could barely make 3-4 shots.

Biography

I am born nature lover, decided to pursue photography as a hobby after my visit to Gir National Park, Gujarat, India in 2013. Soon, Wildlife Photography once taken up as a hobby, turned into serious passion. I kept on learning intricacies of photography with support from many veteran Photographers, and that helped me take this passion to the next level.

I have travelled across the different terrains of India & Kenya in search of biodiversity and its documentation in terms of Photographs. I have been successful in showcasing this knowledge in varied genre of Wildlife Photography. My work has been recognised by leading international nature and conservation institutions like NGC, BBC Wildlife Magazine, iNaturalist.org etc.

For me, photography is freezing a moment. A moment which is unique in its own, it is a memory which you wish to cherish for your life time. Photographing such beautiful moments is nothing but freezing those moments for lifetime. Photography is living life one more time.
