Beatrice Zagato is an Italian visual artist.
She is based between Italy and Spain.

She studied at the famous Escola d’Art Massana in Barcelona and in the Catalan city she founded her own art studio in 2010.

Her artistic language is painting, photography and social projects.

In 2017 she was in London where she won an artist residency to create a project that uses Art as a tool to generate new connections and openings in society, in response to Brexit.
Zagato’s project had been welcomed by the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art Museum of London with which Zagato collaborated. The project was exhibited in various key points of the City.
In 2015 she won the prestigious International Pythagoras Award launched by the European Union, with European funds, sponsored by the European Commission and the Presidency of the Italian Republic. Zagato's work is on permanent display at the Pythagoras Museum of Arts and Science (KR, Italy).
Recently the Modigliani Foundation selected Zagato's work to pay homage to Amedeo Modigliani on the centenary of his death. Zagato's work will become a permanent part of the Modigliani Tribute from December 2020, at the portal of the Foundation.

Zagato works with light, colors, movement and rhythm.
“Color is energy made visible. Movement is life ”- she explains. ""With my art I want to convey positivity and energy, I want to arouse a feeling of strength in the viewer"".
Zagato's works are exhibited in Italy, France, Spain and England.

With my Art I want to convey positivity and energy.
The language I use is painting, photography and social projects.
I work with light, color, movement and rhythm. Color is energy made visible. Movement is life.
Light and color are sources of energy. Some colors act on our brain like caffeine and help people to shake off self-pity.
Color increases people's sense of security, improves mood and increases empathy.
Numerous studies show that light and color can be substituted for antidepressants.
I believe that Art has this magical power to stimulate our sense of happiness.

I’m Italian based between Italy and Spain. I work with painting and photography, social project to express vitality and strength. I use color, light and movement. Color is energy made visible. Movement is life. In 2010 I took part to the street art installation Play Me I'm Yours (Toca'm Soc Teu) Barcelona. I turned a piano into a piece of art which was exibited in the public spaces of the city to symbolize that art and music belong to everyone. In 2015 I won the Pythagoras International Award sponsored by the EU and Italian’s presidency. In 2017 I won an artistic residency in London where I realized a project in which I use art as a tool of inclusion. I collaborate with the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art and with Charity P.I.P. bringing art to people with autism and learning disabilities. In 2020 Modigliani Foundation selected my work to celebrate Modigliani on the centenary of his death. My artwork Mujer will be on permanent display at the Modigliani Foundation portal.
