Biography

Daniel Rooney founder of Capra Corvus Studios, has been producing Art photography and video works for a number of years under the pseudonym of DSR3Art:
'Cryptographer of the Esoteric, Archaeologist of the Oneiric, Cartographer of Hyperspace'.

Inspired by heavy metal, horror, mythology, and the many ruins littered across the Irish countryside, DSR3Art has sought to produce works informed by these influences alongside his academic background as well as a fascination with art history notably Surrealism.
These influences come to bloom in the mix of mythic, gothic and psychedelic images that DSR3Art produces including:
Through the Gates of Forever - the fabled Hill of Tara
Sacred Visions - the great megaliths of Loughcrew
Polycephaly fuses macabre, gothic and occult influences.

Awarded Most Original Thesis for his dissertation Diabolus in Lux, Daniel was Runner up at the MyReel Africa Film Festival in Dundalk(2010) and participated in Trasna8(2018) at the Courthouse Gallery in Clare.
