Concept

My name is Sergey Kvasov, I am an abstract photographer from Russia. I am a member of «The Russian Union of Art Photographers» “Abstract photography for me is a creative experiment. I use “macro” and “long exposure”. I improvise with color, shape, angle. This is a vivid emotional experience. It is gaining oneself through the subconscious process of creation. This is self-expression, where in each work my personal philosophical worldview on the material reality surrounding me is “encoded”.

Biography

Born on 22 July, 1970 in Penza, Russia
Since his childhood he is passionate about photography. His first and only teacher is his father, a passionate amateur photographer.
Since 1990 and until today he works professionally as a photographer.

1997 organizes a creative photo studio "Dell`Arte" in the House-Museum of V. E. Meyerhold (Penza) where he and a group of young talented like-minded people experiment in different styles and directions. They realize several projects together
1998 starts working together with the Penza Regional Drama Theater
1999 Member of «The Russian Union of Art Photographers» (Moscow)
2006 organizes an Association of Professional Photographers of Penza ≪Quatro≫
2007-2013 - fashion photographer in the magazines «Details», «People and Things. Shopping», «Expensive pleasure»
From 1997 to 2011 I participated in 15 personal and collective photo exhibitions.
В 2011 - Solo Exhibition «Walks through the Old City» within the framework of the First Festival of Arts «Discovering the Volga region» in the State Kremlin Palace, Moscow
