The point of this work is to highlight and glorify the macabre, the beautiful, the mysterious and in between. Skulls, flowers, and faceless beauties will be exhibited. They are meant to mock the societal concept of 'beautiful' and 'pretty'. The artworks dance between painting and canvas, photography, and charcoal and paper. From the mysterious fallen angels faceless and pure, to demonic skulls dripping with roses and blood, nothing is more sacred and revered than what society would place as macabre, demented, ugly, uncomfortable and even evil. Step inside, but beware. Not all that is here is always benign.

My name is Samantha E. Blanck! I am almost 30 years old, and I achieved my Associates in Fine Arts from the Community College of Rhode Island when I was 28. I am a painter first, a charcoal artist second, and a photographer third. I enjoy nature, and I love to paint it from my photography, as well as my imagination. I have been drawing formally for nearly two decades, and have been formally painting for six years. My current medium is oil paint, but I also use acrylics too. I have volunteered at the Artists Cooperative Gallery of Westerly, and worked for the art gallery at my former college.
