The control one can have over a brush, the fluidity of paints and the ability to blend and create desired colours intrigued me. To see a blank canvas transform into a beautiful piece of art makes me so happy. To paint is a vocation of mine. Simply put, it is my passion. My main medium of use is acrylic paints. I enjoy the quick drying nature of acrylic paints as this allows building up of layers and details in my paintings. My artistic goal is to capture scenic landscapes, seascapes and majestic animals all highlighting natural wonders. Such wonders include sunrises, sunsets, waterfalls and natural greenery. I also enjoy painting deities. This for me is the most peaceful and serene experience, as I get lost in my paintings.

Essentially, I am a self-taught artist who practices a lot and yearns to learn, to grow and improve as an artist. Other than studying GCSE Fine Art at school, I have no other formal qualification in this discipline. I began painting in July 2017, when I first picked up a paintbrush after studying at college, achieving a First Class Honours degree in Biomedical Science at university and working at a hospital as a healthcare assistant. After graduation, I worked as a freelance health and science writer. I have taken part in a local art competition and have won second and third prize. This gave me the opportunity to admire the art of others as well as share my art with them. My simple goal and hope is that each canvas painting of mine brings as much joy, happiness and peacefulness to you as it brings to me.
