Irena was fascinated by the country’s Flags. They are so colourful, brightful. She wanted to show her own interpretation of this.

"A Flag is not just a set of several surfaces with basic colors. First, the flag is a beautiful graphic object for me, which I interpret in my own way. Every Flag represents a specific country that has its own identity, culture."

Irena uses and mixes colors, blurring the lines between colors.

"Contrasting colors combinations do not conflict but complement each other. I am all about harmony despite the contrasts. The subtext of such an interpretation is globalization. With the increased global interactions comes the growth of international trade, ideas, and culture.

The boundaries between countries are blurring. Almost every country is home to people of many nationalities"
