I need to connect to the world in ways other than words
My travels leave me with impressions that I store in the corners of my head. When I am in the middle of creating, I paint the rhythm of the music I am listening to, the sensations it gives me and the movements it orchestrates in me.

I need to connect to the world in ways other than words
My travels leave me with impressions that I store in the corners of my head. When I am in the middle of creating, I paint the rhythm of the music I am listening to, the sensations it gives me and the movements it orchestrates in me.
Painting allows me to escape from the real world, and to explore my inner world in order to discover each time new corners.
This exploration allows me to have a permanent reinvention of my art.
I create acrylic canvases with paper mache or plaster reliefs. I put gesso, sand or pebbles depending on the mood, then I paint with a brush, a knife or sometimes directly with my fingers.

Nat Stresser is an artist who specializes in abstract art, more specifically in acrylic painting.

She was born in 1970 in an Alsatian town near Strasbourg.

Since her young years the artistic fibre has not left her. After starting out in figurative art, with watercolour and dry pastel, she went on to study art and obtained the A3 baccalaureate in plastic arts. Little by little, her style evolves and tends towards the abstract painting, in which she evolves today and blossoms fully.

Her paintings are fluid and full of relief. One feels a certain power and depth that makes the viewer want to dive in. Bright colours or shades of grey and red, her style is her own, but everyone can enter her universe easily.

Her inspiration comes from the material itself, from the shadow and the light, to give intensity and texture to her works.
