Concept

I am Szabrina Maharita, born in Transcarpathia, Ukraine, in 1989. I obtained my degree in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Painting at Karoly Eszterhazy College in Hungary. I also completed a degree in graphic design. In my perspective, art is a form of self-expression accessible to everyone, as it is an inherent aspect of human nature. I am particularly drawn to human figures and abstract subjects. I find myself most at ease working with techniques such as watercolours, oils, inks, and experimenting with their combinations. Regarding my artistic style, I have a penchant for contrasts, bold brushwork, vibrant colours, and the deliberate use of blank, untouched backgrounds. When composing my artworks, I strive to uncover the most captivating aspects of the subject and bring them to life through a harmonious interplay of colours. My artistic proclivity leans towards the expressive tenets of the movement known as expressionism. I take pride in having several paintings on display across Europe and America in private collections, and I am continually exploring new avenues to further enrich my artistic journey.
