I'm a surrealist artist, an interior designer and a Synesthete artist. I was born and raised in Tehran/Iran. In 2009 I moved to Canada and started my studies in Interior Design. I'm from a family of artists and musicians and have always found my source of inspiration in music. In 2015 I heard about Synesthesia for the first time after watching a TEDTalks from the neurologist David Eagleman. That's when I realized that I have a brain that can create more than what the everyday life looks like. I always loved and had obsession with drawing. Even in school my books, or my friends books were filled with my drawings. In summer 2018 after major life changes, I started meditating and listening to a lot of music. For the first time in my life I had the chance to explore my artistic side more. I gave my subconscious a chance to express itself and found my new style of surrealism paintings. My work is inspired by psychology, mythology and spirituality. Through my own spiritual awakening I encountered the gods within and express them through my art with vibrant colors.
Choosing the vibrant colors was my own fight against depression and the grey, cloudy days of Vancouver, where I live. I wanted to make myself and the viewers excited about seeing vibrant contrasting colors together in one place. I specifically didn't want my work to look like reality. To be more than reality. Surreal.

I grew up in Tehran/Iran. My major in high school was math and physics. Then I studied French literature in university. So, I never pursued a career in arts until I moved to Vancouver and decided to study Interior Design. After graduating, I started working in the interior design field and worked with many people from different background and culture. This helped me to expand my knowledge of people, structure, building and discipline.
I am a self-taught artist, and a synesthete artist. Meaning I have Synesthesia so when I listen to music, I see colors and scenes that I recreate in my paintings. Music is the first step for me to create anything new. When I am not doing art, I enjoy dancing, reading books and learning about psychology and symbolism.
