Most of my works are imaginary images such as a girl swimming above the clouds even though there are realistic materials like moon and tears. I've tried to make the viewers get the feeling of comfort and happiness by describing the pupils transparent and the face pure of all the girls who are the important motif of my work. The fantasy world that I created should not make the people anxious or wanting to escape, but it should be livelily, positive and give courage and power to live and that's what I'm believing. For that I want my works to function as a method that transfers the beauty of the real world and the true meaning of life, and a mirror of truth for the adults who live with two faces in the complex and difficult modern organization and society. As a mirror that shows the substance of sorrow and depression itself even in a brief moment while looking at my illustrations, to have people to get comfort and courage by watching their own feelings without any pretentiousness is what I wish as an illustrator and that's why I paint.

Illustrator Ye-Lin,
Draw the Happiness Between Dream and Reality.
Many people think of nature's beautiful landscape, sophisticated portrait, majestic and solemn pictures as great paintings. However, there are many great materials for arts in our common daily life. I'm 'Ye-lin', an illustrator who draws our mundane but diverse everyday lives into comfortable and neat but clear and lively color.
¬Since when I was little, painting was joyful play, sweet comfort and a tool that realizes infinite imagination. Inspired by the feelings that earned when depressed and in difficulty, bliss and ecstasy earned in joy, everything that I see after waking up in the morning and all the things that I dream in the night, I had painted and dreamed a bigger dream until became an illustrator.
I want to explain the heart of my works with a sentence; Expressing my inner stories in the form of a girl. Each girl in my illustration has both excitement and fear of being an adult at the same time. I consider every girl in the world as an existence that has both expectation and hope, fear and anxiety for the future at the same. Secret feelings that a girl holds back, the future which has no right answer, and repeated questions about herself, 'Thoughts and worries that a girl might hold', these are the things that I try to illustrate.
To take the meaningful first step to the world through these world of arts, I held a private exhibition featuring "Myself\_ A Fragrant Collaboration of Art and Music" from Jan to Feb 2019 in . It was a precious opportunity to meet people in person who appreciated my works through SNS. When I heard that my humble work gave big consolation to others, when I saw people who loved me with no string attached but only cause of a medium ― painting ― and when I saw them happily make the purchase, it stimulated and made me check on my attitude of mind towards working, and vitalized and realized me of the 'power of illustration' once again. I'm debating myself about the methods of describing more girls inside of me beyond the current digital printing technique which is using Illustrator and Photoshop, by using various ways including hand drawing and diverse illustration techniques and patterns.
Why I love the painting is that there are no right answer or limitation. As an illustrator, I want to challenge on a variety of fields with unbound to custom and keep making good works that give consolation to people. Painting can be gorgeous and fancy, but it also plays a role that describes daily memories and small things humorously and warmly. That's why I regard relentless communication with the public high and enjoy it. Just like the paintings were my inspiration during my childhood, I hope my works which are made with new techniques and materials, and those I challenged with various collaboration and materials inspire others.

We can't express the emotional charge with limited writing of language because of the wideness of human feeling, but I believe that art is the method which can access to human feeling closest. I hope those who are tired of daily fatigue get some consolation and hope from watching my illustrations.
Thank you.
