Concept

My painting are portals, leading through the transformation to reunification with the Divine Principle. Today, when humanity is experiencing a grand metamorphosis in all spheres of our existence, I, being a Metamodernist artist, invite a viewer to follow me on the "Path of a Hero" in order to connect with their true self. My art aims to transform the results of Anthropocene culture into a new religion of Eternal Values, where a human is not the "the pinnacle of creation", but one with the elements of the Divine Spirit with creative energy. I fill my paintings with dynamic energy through rhythm and vibrations of paint, revisiting both the mastery of an icon and the avant-garde tradition. Speaking the language of abstract expressionism, I create the alchemy, where the mankind might connect with the basic elements and thus return to the Power of the Creator. That's how my painting becomes an icon of the New Religion. Following Kandinsky, I create music on canvas. This is my way of inviting the viewer to the path of recalling Eternal Values.

Biography

Mila was born in 1975 in Ukraine. She studied classical painting at the K. Constanti Art School and Ushinsky University in Odessa.

Continuing her studies at the Faculty of Art and Graphics, she created a collection of clothes in the "Batik" technique, later embodying the idea of painting fabric in the collection from "Couture" for display in New York in collaboration with designer Olga Mimho in 2012.

Since 1999, she has studied the technique and philosophy of ancient icon painting, plunging into its symbolism.

During this time, there were several personal exhibitions in Odessa on the basis of the Perutsky Theater, where wall painting in its performance is located.

In 2014, Mila moved to Crimea to create the first collection of abstract works, combining the philosophy of the icon and the convention of the avant-garde. This is the beginning of the Spiritual search for Meanings.

The turning point for reflection was 2022. She's moving to the United States. The situation associated with war crystallizes and makes its perception of the world even sharper. Namely, the search for Love as Eternal Value. Immerses it to the origins of the power of nature and thus gives great power for creativity.

Her works are in private collections in the United States, Canada and European countries.
