At one point, I casually decided to draw a picture by cutting out a page instead of a pen. From that moment on, an unexpected world was waiting. After that, I became captivated by collages, and when I opened the magazine, I was excited to meet the world I hadn't seen yet and thought about it. In particular, I liked the world of surrealism, so at first it was just a combination of shapes, but then I was absorbed in creating the shapes from scratch by cutting them into smaller parts. It came to be. The main collage materials are old magazines and newspapers. I am particularly attracted to fashion magazines, and I will project the stimulus received from the colorful visual pages onto the collage. The days of accepting the unexpected and accidental repetitions of the act of combining as a message from the fingertips holding the glue and the cutter continued. I think that the "apple" that appears in the work unknowingly embodies the memory of Nagano, the hometown where he was born and raised. The red fruits that grow on the branches of the green trees have the contrast of their colors, the scent of the wind, the coldness of the autumn wind, the longing for the presence of fruit, and the scenery that was taken for granted as if to express them. It was always in my heart and spoke to me. "I'm here."
