Concept

Kateryna Yashta is a Ukrainian artist based in Kyiv. Kateryna mostly works with photography. A camera is all she needs to bring to life her thoughts, feelings, sensations and reflections of the surroundings and whereabouts, getting back to the focal point that Is herself. Her photos are not simply photos but rather an attitude towards the world around her. She boldly handles the material, abolishes dry documentary photography and synthesizes a new view of her own. Her works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine and Europe.

Biography

Kateryna Yashta is a Ukrainian artist based in Kyiv.
Born in Luhansk, in 1991, she graduated from Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (2014).
In 2015-2016 - studied photography at the Cultural Photographic Center "PhotoCULT" and "BIRD in FLIGHT" photo school.
Kateryna mostly works with photography. A camera is all she needs to bring to life her thoughts, feelings, sensations and reflections of the surroundings.
Her works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions.
