What is the meaning of painting? What is the purpose? What is the essence of painting? What is existence? What is dignity? Why is it that painting is supposed to be fun, but so many people don't enjoy it as much as they did when they were little?"I have been thinking about these issues for a long time. Born in 1970 on Amami Oshima Island, I started drawing as soon as I could remember and decided to become a manga artist who would create works that many people could dream of. When I was in elementary school, I used to draw the faces of manga characters in my notebook, but I could hardly create any stories. In art class at junior high school, I began to question how I should draw. I thought that even if I could accurately sketch an object, it would be no match for a photograph, so why evaluate a picture based on whether it is well drawn or not? I began to question art education that emphasized technique. Despite these doubts, in my third year junior high school art class, we were shown slides of Impressionist works, and I experienced an impression of their beauty that was different from that of photographs. Because of this doubt, I wondered if studying painting at a university would only force me to follow the old common sense of my instructors. I did not go on to study at a specialized university, and I rarely had the opportunity to ask for instruction from others. For a while, I could not answer the question at the beginning of this article, so I could not start painting even if I wanted to. Then, in my twenties, I encountered the primitive painting medium of pastel, which led me to a vague realization that what I wanted to paint was not a motif as existence, but the essence of existence itself, and I started to create the "Sight Painting Series" in 2005. One of the reasons I started using pastels was that I was interested in environmental issues and wanted to find paints that were safe for children to use, rather than paints that pollute the environment like oil or acrylic paints. Later, I came across Stockmer's beeswax crayons, which, like pastels, are safe and have excellent coloring characteristics, and I began using them in 2008. For support, I began using Japanese paper, which is stronger and has a better texture than Western paper, and I have been using bamboo Washi from Awa for the past several years. In 2021, I began using Machi watercolors, which are highly safe and have excellent coloring characteristics. I also started selling my works in earnest at last. I have been working on my creative activities through trial and error for a long time, but while I have not been able to give a clear answer to the question at the beginning of this article, in 2015 (Heisei 27), I encountered the recognition technology nTech (at that time, it was called "Kanjutsu") Through nTech, I clearly understood that "existence does not move, but movement exists," and what I wanted to depict in my work was dignity itself! On December 13, 2021, I declared that I would work as a "Dignity Artist" who re-creates dignity. I have made it my mission to re-create dignity in the field of the universe, using the technology of nTech, the wisdom of truth, to reverse the despair of modern society, which is filled with distrust, anxiety, and a sense of stagnation, and to create new impressions, not only for special people but for everyone, by demonstrating unlimited creativity in the here and now. We hope to create an era of hope and dignity in the hearts and minds of people around the world, where everyone, not just those who are special, can re-create new emotions by exercising their unlimited creativity, and where hope and dignity are abundant. What is the art of dignity? And why should anyone be able to enjoy the act of re-creation? to as many people as possible.
