Born in 1983 in the Free State, South Africa, Melani Rossouw discovered her gift for drawing at the age of 12. Not knowing where it would lead her, she watched her talents blossoming in different types of creative mediums through high school.

In 2001, Melani won the Danielle Howard Prize for Best Performance In Graphic Design. Which led her to completing a graphic design course at City Varsity Cape Town, South Africa. Her continuous accolades in graphic design placed her in the design and fashion industry, working for the world renowned Vanessa Gounden London Collective.

As a true artist, Melani uses her world as her canvas and uses any and every opportunity to create art, from working on canvas, animation, graphic design, fashion and even sharing her artistic passion through teaching.

In 2019 her work was exhibited at the Old Venitian Harbour in Crete, Greece and soon after that a few pieces where showcased at Design Plus during Miami Art Basel. Her work was also seen in Vanity Fair's 2021 March, Hollywood and April publications.

She continues to participate in Group exhibitions, collaborations and in various platforms to share her work and inspire others to stand out from the shadows and be brave enough to step into the light.
