Concept

Painting is a way of communication and a self expression of feelings for Perihan. She works abstract or classic, depending on her emotional state and the events that take place around her. In her work, Perihan blends daily life's topics with her own emotions, and tells her version of the story using her brush. She likes details, and figurative expressions in her work. Aside from oil paintings, she also works with crayon and pencil medium as well and has many such pieces in her personal collection.

Biography

Perihan was born and raised in Ankara Turkey. After completing her education, she moved to Corlu in 1985, where she has settled. She is currently married and has two children.

Fully immersed in art since childhood, Perihan started painting at a very early age. She has competed in many art contests, and won numerous accolades. In 2014, she participated in the Triton Museum of Art's Painting Competition in Santa Clara, USA. In 2016, she worked at Gunseli Ayan Workshop in Turkey, and had her first personal exhibition. And in the following years she participated in many exhibitions, displaying her work.

She is also involved with community work, and has been serving as a member of a major Community Service Group in Corlu, Turkey since 1985. She is also a management board member of Corlu Arts and Culture Society, and has been serving there since 2019.
