Concept

Everything around me is as much a source of inspiration as the beating of a heart! Everything can inspire me, a person, a sentence, a word, an atmosphere... and when the spark of creation appears to me, my brushes move towards new artistic adventures! My painting today is inspired by nature and travel. I paint mainly with acrylic, sometimes mixing different materials on different supports. I start my creations with abstract backgrounds. It is at the same time an explosion of colors, with totally improbable jets of paint. During this stage I do not seek a result, I am in the improvisation and the feeling. Then comes the moment when I put figurative elements that link the whole to create a work. All that surrounds me are as many sources of inspiration as the beating of a heart. Je me présente , je me nomme Grégory JOMAIN alias Sapo ( mon nom d'artiste ) , né en 1975 et je suis artiste peintre autodidacte Français depuis 2010 . Créer est pour moi vital ! Un art de vivre . Aussi loin que je me souvienne j’ai toujours eu une attirance pour l’art. La peinture s’est imposée à moi d’elle-même, un moyen d’expression faisant appel à mes sens et me permettant d’exprimer mes émotions.

I introduce myself, my name is Grégory Jomain alias Sapo ( my artist name ) ,I was born in 1975 and I have been a self-taught french painter since 2010 .Creating is vital for me ! The art of life . As far back as I can remenber I have always had an attraction for art . Painting imposed itself on me by itself , a means of expression appealling to my senses and allowing me to express my emotions .
