Richard grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. From a young age he showed an interest in art and went on to study Graphic Design, but later pursued his true interest in oil painting. Richard grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. From a young age he showed an interest in art and went on to study Graphic Design, but later pursued his true interest in oil painting. Richard covers a wide range of subjects, from cityscapes to still life paintings. Since childhood he had a fascination with Native Americans and went to live on an Indian reservation in the Southwest region of the United States. One of his favourite artists is Nicolai Fechin.
