My painting is a close up depiction of a skilled artisan's hand weaving & crafting a rattan chair. It is a priceless traditional skill that is fading away as many fast pace manufacturers has taken over the industry. The Rattan Weaver has now become an intangible heritage, a rare handcraft that is to be appreciated & preserved in my country.

I am currently a drawing & painting lecturer as well as a practicing artist based in Penang, Malaysia. Upon graduating with Masters in Visual Arts & Design at University of Science Malaysia in 2012, I have been actively participating in solo & group art exhibitions while juggling with my teaching career. I am also a mural artist who had engaged with numerous commercial projects till date. I was selected as one of the finalists for Malaysia Emerging Artists Award (MEAA) in 2013. Voted as Malaysia’s Top 10 Artists by TallyPress in 2015. I am also one of the member of Penang Water Colour Society (PWCS). My current artworks are mostly done in watercolors, and my inspiration comes from daily observation & contemplation towards all the little things that awaken my senses which trigger my artistic intuition. I don't limit the subject matter of my paintings as I like to explore unexpected possibilities in art.
