"The thing about kids is that they express emotion. They don't hold back. If they want to cry, they cry, and if they are in a good mood, they're in a good mood" - Eddie Murphy

I came across this quote on the internet sometime back and it inspired a few of my works and this piece is one of them....

As adults, there are so many emotions that we feel; love, aggression, trust, fear, and we can easily get stifled by them if we are feeling these emotions all at once.

Take control of your emotions and begin to consciously and deliberately reshape your daily experience of life.

Abdul Salam Nuhu (born April 14, 1994), known by the pseudonym, Elroy Salam, is a Ghanaian visual artist and photographer whose work is a compelling mix of emotion and social commentary.
He is the third born of four children and the only son of his parents. He had his junior high school education at Most Holy Heart School and later attended St. Augustine's College in Cape Coast for his senior high school education.
He attended the University of Ghana and obtained Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology which he later dropped out.
Salam started photography in 2015 as a self-taught artist and gained most of his knowledge through watching YouTube tutorials. As an introvert, he used photography as a means of escape and also a medium to convey his feelings and personify his thoughts and imagination.

Currently, he works as a photo artist using photography as a medium to channel to communicate about topics most people can relate to as well as address issues that involve social and personal development.
What sets his work apart is his ability to use photography to express emotions and address social issues. He often delves into personal experiences, exploring themes of self-reflection, mental health, and identity.

In November 2022, Salam's work on the impact of climate change on mental health was published by Global Citizen and featured on the Voice of America (VOA) Africa TV program Healthy Living.

He has also been in 3 group exhibitions alongside other amazing artists.
