Drew's palette could be called subdued and minimal owing to influence from his home town, a formal industrial hub and coal mining town. Drew takes colours, shapes and moods and translates these to canvas and paper.

Drew Platt is a self-taught contemporary artist based in the West Midlands, UK.
Drew's palette could be called subdued and minimal owing to influence from his home town, a formal industrial hub and coal mining town. Drew takes colours, shapes and moods and translates these to canvas and paper.
With much influence from the 1950s New York school of abstract expressionism, Drew creates bold but minimal compositions using mostly house hold paints, pastel, conventional acrylic and ink.
Drew is a formal tattoo artist and still draws inspiration from this art form, using deep blacks, greys, bold lines and angles.
