Concept

I work mainly with acrylics as I appreciate their rapid drying time when layering colours. Yet, my paintings are far from spontaneous. Each stroke is a reflective and contemplative personal response to sights, sounds, and memories. Whether it’s an abstract composition, a figurative piece, or something that hovers in between my goal is to capture the essence of a place or a moment in time. Each artwork becomes an impression rendered into being, a visual echo of personal experience.

Biography

Born and raised in Nottinghamshire, Kris has been developing and exhibiting her artwork since 2001.
Mainly working from a large attic studio at home.
Kris has an eclectic taste, and this is evident in the diversity of artworks she produces.
She has won a number of awards including a Clairefontaine award and The Artist exhibition award.

Exhibited in London as well as locally and won art prizes for paintings both in the UK and the USA

Artworks hang in the USA, the UK, Europe and Australia.
