Inspiration comes to me through a reading, a film, a speech, a daily scene... it comes when I discover more in depth artistic figures such as Frida or Dalí, but also of sports, politics, culture, cinema icons ... I am impressed by the personalities who have done something extraordinary in their field. The revolutionaries, those who changed the paradigm, who said no to what was established or what they will say ... those figures who left an extraordinary mark on the collective imagination through their work or thought.

Biography

René Álvarez Mäkelä is a well-known Spanish artist who develops his work from his studio in Santa Catalina, in Palma de Mallorca.

His works have been exhibited in galleries in Los Angeles, New York, Paris or Ibiza, among others, and his creations have been praised and demanded by personalities such as Madonna, Cara Delevingne, Pope Francisco ... and by sports stars such as Matt Kemp, Manny Machado, Austin Rivers, Antoine Griezmann, Jorge Lorenzo or Vinicius Jr., among many others.
