Concept

My creative endeavors are my way of giving something a perceptible body for the first time. Painting in particular, allows me to do this with no words, no definitions, with further dimensions. I pursue the sensation of becoming an instrument of my own creation, the communion with the 'making' at hand. I believe my work is complete when it resonates in someone else, enticing feeling, thought or contemplation itself.

Biography

I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1989.

I grew up in the border town of Rivera where I took my first steps in painting. A local artist's work, Osmar Santos, would be my first contact with abstraction.

I never stopped drawing, writing, painting, making.

Painting took a place of privilege in my life in 2018, when I started exploring the possibilities of oil paint in search for my own pictorial language and technique.

This resulted in my first Series of artworks, Desde Adentro ("From Within"), presented in my first individual show in 2019.
