Concept

Jordi is a realist-style landscape painter, born in Barcelona. For Isern, painting is the expression of a feeling that pushes him to capture what he loves most: and it is Nature, the most important heritage we have. Art, for him, is a vital necessity. He understands it as a way of life. With his oil paintings on canvas and his elaborate style, safe and spontaneous at the same time, he tries to convey what he feels when he is in front of a landscape: inner well-being, peace, stillness, calm, beauty and serenity. He considers art to be an exceptional means of awakening the soul. Therefore, it has to convey and excite. With his long career of thirty years dedicated to art, his work has reached different Asian and European countries, mainly Japan, where since 2015 he has held nine individual exhibitions in different Japanese cities. Biography

My name is Jordi Isern Jubany in 1.969. At the age of twenty-six, I made the decision to leave the city and seek the peace and tranquillity of nature, of open spaces. I just needed it. Nature is inside me, and landscapes and painting are my passion. I gave up everything and dedicated myself completely to art. It was a wise and courageous decision.
I live in Alcover, a village in the heart of the Prades mountains, on the left bank of the river Glorieta, with the characteristic landscape of the Tarragona countryside and Mediterranean climate.
In my beginnings as a painter I happened to know Montblanc, the capital of the Conca de Barberà area, and from the first moment I fell in love with its surroundings and its people. It is a town with a marked medieval character and of great historical importance, as it was the location where the first Catalan Parliament was held.
Without hesitation, I set up my second studio in 1999, where you can have a look at my works and even buy them.
Nowadays I have been able to exhibit in the main Spanish figurative art galleries and in the rest of the world, mainly in Japan
