Concept

Francisco Bustos Arteaga is a versatile artist who carries different series of paintings that are formally very different, but conceptually united, a sort of before and after of life and art. The Substances series of paintings show us the essential, before it was form, of the strength of that primal essence, its luminosity and its color. From the transformation of being to its final form. While the series of paintings Prisons shows us what is hidden in the darkness of our being, those expressions and feelings that live in a trap under the veil of preconceptions looking for the exit towards the surface of the truth.

Biography

to be updatedVisual Artist, born in Santiago de Chile, he studied painting at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and later settled in the City of Mendoza, Argentina, where he currently resides. In this city he has developed most of his work, participating in different group shows, painting salons, contests and artistic interventions.

In 2013, with his project LA DOOPLA LUMÍNICA he obtained 5th place in the international video mapping contest “Greco Lux” in Toledo, Spain, organized by VjSpain.

In 2017 he obtained the first prize in the 37th Painting Salon organized by the Professional Council of Economic Sciences, held at the Mendoza Stock Exchange.

His versatility has led him to work in different fields such as painting, illustration, post-production, video installation, vjing, design and animation.
