Concept

My goal is ... to express my positive attitude towards life in colorful compositions. to express myself. Colors, brushes and canvases are for me a ticket to another world. When I paint I am completely with myself and completely far away. For me, art is a journey into a mysterious, adventurous world, where I can plunge into life without a double bottom. Trying myself out again and again, searching, finding, sometimes failing then starting again.

Biography

I was born in Hamburg in 1967 and have been living and working in the Lüneburger Heide since 2003.

Painting means pure happiness for me. The canvas is my playground, on it I have fool's freedom.

I paint in many layers, apply paint in one place and scrape layers free in another place. Always playful, sometimes with ease, sometimes stormy, sometimes powerfully dynamic, sometimes light and fleeting. I am in search of traces. Painting becomes an archive of my senses, it awakens memories and brings what I feel and experience into colour and form. My works are mostly a combination of different techniques and still media. I experiment with different tools and materials.
