Concept

Intuitively and passionately exploring new ways to create and visualize connection between body and nature. Human landscapes where mountain is a body and body is a mountain. Female bodies representing force of nature. She sees mountains as great giants, great energy, static but in the same time tremedously vibrant. Surface is never flat but always dynamic, stratified and dramatic. Frequently using different materials applied to canvas to show layers like pices of wood. Blue is dominant colour that attracts her with it's depth and so many shades. She cannot resist it and doesn't want to.

Biography

Education and work

Born in Šibenik, Croatia, in 1978. In 2001 graduated from the Arts Academy of the University of Split, Croatia, and got a degree in Conservation and Restoration, Art culture and Fine arts. Since 2003. working at the City Museum of Šibenik as conservator-restorer of paintings and polychrome sculpture.

Exhibitions

Since 2016, Individual exhibition at Saint Grisogonus Gallery in Šibenik (Croatia), Zadart Gallery in Zadar (Croatia), exhibition during the manifestation European Night of Museums at the Culture Circle Association in Šibenik (Croatia), Museum in Knin (Croatia), Center for Interpretation in Betina (Croatia), City Library in Šibenik (Croatia).
Lots of group exhibitions in Zadar and Šibenik (Croatia) and artistic worksop projects.
International exhibition projects of Artbox Gallery (Switzerland) in Basel and New York during the Armory Art Weeks.
Member of Croatian Association of Artists.
