Concept

He is the fourth generation potter of SOHYOH, which has a kiln in Arita, a porcelain production area with 400 years of history. SOHYOH has been producing ceramic works like paintings with its original expression technique using porcelain clay. Takuma, who is the next generation, finds a divinity beyond human understanding in the whiteness of the porcelain clay, and pursues various expressions such as vessels, objects, and paintings.

Biography

1992 Born in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture 2011 Entered Fine Arts and Crafts Course, Faculty of Culture and Education, Saga University Focused on ceramic art and oil painting 2017 Completed Graduate School of Education, Saga University, Art Education Course 2019 Awarded the Contemporary Crafts Newcomer Prize at the Japan Contemporary Crafts Art Exhibition 2019 Awarded the Kyushu Ceramic Museum Director Prize at the Kyushu Crafts Art Kyushu Exhibition 2019 Selected for the Nitten (and twice since) 2021 Awarded the Saga Prefecture Governor Prize at the Contemporary Crafts Art Kyushu Exhibition 2023 Exhibited at Salon Art Shopping Currently, while making ceramics under the direction of his father, Satohiko Tsuji, he holds exhibitions of his works mainly in department stores throughout Japan.
