Félix Lazo, visual artist and electroacoustic music composer, currently working on interactive feedback systems on the boundaries between the visual and auditory.
He studied biology for three years at the University of Chile, at the same time that he completed his music studies at the Catholic University of Chile. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the Universidad Católica de Chile, won a Fulbright scholarship and completed a Master's degree in Music Education and a Master's degree in Art Education from Columbia University New York, Teachers College. Between 2002 and 2003 he studied musical composition at the Centre de Creation Musical Iannis Xenakis in Paris. Trained as a scientist and musician, he encountered the visual arts at an early age. After defining a visual language between color field painting and arte povera, his casual encounters with computers allow him to unite his interests in science, music and visual arts. Since then, he has focused on generating a body of work that encompasses: interactive installations, paintings, prints, music and works in various media and formats.
