Rakhi got introduced to art in Kolkata (India)during her college days and she then took it as a leisure activity. She trained herself under 3 teachers for 3 years. Thereafter she stopped painting as taking care of her family became her priority.
After good 23 years later she again picked up the brushes and under guidance, started painting again. She has never gone to any art school and being more of self learnt she keeps exploring different mediums and styles. She follows artists like, Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir and is trying to develop her own style in Impressionism one. She loves to work with textures.
In 2019 she participated in Mumbai Art Exhibition (Group show), and 2020 at Dinanath Dalal Gallery (group show) both in Mumbai, India.
