Kate Chetabut is a Thai artist currently residing in Taiwan. Her artistic expression centers around mandalas and abstracts, which draw inspiration from traditional Thai designs. Kate's artwork showcases her passion through her dynamic use of color and technique on canvas or paper.

The mandala style of art has its origins in Hindu and Buddhist traditions, representing the universe in a circular design. Typically, mandalas are viewed and contemplated in a meditative state. However, for Kate, the process of creating mandalas brings her into a similar state of mind. She imbues each piece with her life experiences, Buddhist beliefs, and cultural influences. Kate approaches each artwork without preconceived ideas of the final outcome. Instead, she finds inspiration as the work takes shape, allowing her to fully express herself on the canvas.

As an artist hailing from Bangkok, Thailand, I received my degree from the Faculty of Decorative Arts. Although I briefly pursued interior and product design, I found that my true passion lay in painting. Despite facing some initial opposition from my family, my husband's unwavering support allowed me to rediscover my love for art after moving to Taiwan.

It was not long before my talent was recognized by an art teacher, who encouraged me to create more artwork for an upcoming exhibition. This marked a turning point in my career, as my art became a source of solace and tranquility, allowing me to achieve a peaceful state of mind.

Since then, I have been fortunate to exhibit my artwork at several esteemed venues, including "My Tribe to Whom Do We Belong" at the Red Room in Taipei on November 16th, 2018, as well as the Community Services Center in Taipei in April of 2020.
