Concept

Painting is a haven for me - it takes me to another place where the world is right. Creating art gives me a space to love myself and others - it allows me to quietly connect with the world in a peaceful way. My motto "Just paint!" means so much to me. When I pick up a paint brush, suddenly anything is possible. In my art, I combine oil paints, pastels, acrylics, chalk paint, and clay to create a total piece. My 11 step process never changes, but my subject matter does. The pillars of my artwork include flowers, abstracts, guitars, celebrity headshots, architectural structures, angel wings, and beloved furry critters. I hope my work brings as much joy to you as it does to me. Thank you for visiting my site. If you are so inclined...Just Paint! That's what I'll be doing!

Biography

H. Renae Ward is a visual artist in Richardson, Texas. She was born in a small town in East Texas but her formative years were spent in Alexandria, Virginia where she was introduced to the world of art in the magnificent museums of Washington DC. Later in life, as a young mother of four, she owned an art center for children and hosted art classes in her local ISD. Now that her children are grown, she spends her time creating vibrant paintings on a daily basis.
