Concept

I was born to parents who ran a florist and a landscaping business, and I grew up surrounded by flowers and plants from a very early age. I think that this has had a great influence on my current activities. I believe that the artist ""Yoshiki Maeshiba"" is a place to express my own view of life and death through confronting flowers and the instantaneous beauty of flowers, which cannot be fully expressed through business alone. Flowers and plants, whether alive or dead, have fascinating expressions, and the sight of them in full bloom is not the only thing that makes them beautiful. Through this idea, I have found ""the most attractive expression of flowers"", which I cut out and incorporate into my work."

Biography

Yoshiki Maeshiba

Born in 1980 to parents who ran a florist and a landscaper, he was surrounded by flowers and plants from an early age. After graduating from a floral college, he entered the world of spatial display. He founded the custom-made florist "varench apart15". He has worked with brands such as Shiseido and GAP, including the runway decorations for the Tokyo Collection. The company's customers range from apparel brands to interior design shops, and it specializes in textile cooperation and space decoration.

As a floral artist, "Yoshiki Maeshiba" also creates his own works using plants. He believes that flowers and plants have an attractive expression regardless of whether they live or die, and he creates works that incorporate the most attractive expression of the plants he sees into his work.
