"Jean-Humbert Savoldelli started painting and was influenced by hyper-realism and Trompe L'oeil. Over time these limited the freedom of his desires and his creative choices. He managed to free himself from the constraints by radically changing his way of painting on canvas: in 2013, the artist looked into abstract expressionism and using acrylic and knife.
Instead of showing everything to the viewer, he now gives him support to daydream based on colour harmonies, perspectives, verticals and horizontals which occupy space without ever clogging it. He sometimes introduces new elements in the composition: sand is mixed with glue and used
sparingly, highlighting the contrast. Very few spheres and circles appear in his paintings because they tend to break and disrupt the harmony and elegance that he wishes to give to his paintings.
He works and live in Cahors, in the Southwest of France, where he has his own gallery « La Grange du Clos Jeanine »
He is very present on the web where he is represented among others by the Saatchi Art gallery (he also appears on the paper catalog) and Singulart.
He has been featuring in the supplement of the British Art Book TALLULAH ""15 contemporary artists to watch"" in 2016
The American firm « DOLCEZZA » garment maker, acquired the rights to two of his paintings for the collection « simply Art » Fall 2019 and will acquier the rights of an other one for the same collection Spring 2021
He obtained the 2nd jury’s price of the 5th contest MY RANK ART
