Enrica Badas loves to experiment with different techniques and languages, with the ability to blend the expressive elements in an original way.
In the first period he worked both in oil and acrylic on canvas, sometimes also in ink and pastel, with a figurative style dedicated to the study of the nude to the animal world and the search for symbolic elements to represent his reflections on the complexity of existence.
At the same time he wrote poems in free verse, which sometimes run through his paintings enriching shapes and colors with new meanings, in the sign of a "poetic neo-expressionism".
From 2020 the artist begins to experiment with digital art, which becomes a medium to enrich his creative path. So photographic portraits of women taken in everyday life or during travel, are transformed with digital interventions into images different, then printed on canvas, aluminum or other supports; finally, the images acquire a new face and a new meaning through different pictorial interventions.
The complexity of the creation of these works corresponds to the need for an ever deeper investigation, which starts from everyday life to delve into the multifaceted world of man's interiority, and then make it visible in its external representation.
Recently Enrica Badas has focused her artistic research on two series of works, using the same creative path experimented with portraits of women.
The first series "Emotionaltransferlandscape" (ETL) is dedicated to landscapes, photographed in moments of the unrepeatable colors of sunrises or sunsets, which in digital intervention lose the clear contours of the forms to take on new emotional intensities, strengthened by the subsequent colors which, with a spatula or brush, give them a new life. Fixing the unrepeatability of a moment in time, which always makes the perception of the landscape different, the artist associates the unrepeatableness of a movement of the soul. The second series "Emotionalchromagramme" (ECG) is the result of a deeper transformation of the images that become abstract, composed of vertical, sinuous shapes and evanescent contours, composing a rhythm, like emotional waves, where the chromatic choice is a variation of single or few shades. A whispered, poetic, harmonious language, which at the same time hides from view a deeper space, that of the unconscious, which therefore emerges only at times, through the "signs of emotions".
Enrica Badas creates works that allow you to walk between shapes and colors, through the steps of her creative path, until you discover the nuances of the soul and glimpse the lights and shadows that everyone carries in the depths of himself.
