Concept

Having lived in Africa, England, Australia and Spain, my work intermingles the various iconographies of these cultures, mirroring the life we lead as citizens of a wider world community. Since leaving St.Martins School of Art (London) in 1989, I have been involved in various exhibitions around the world. I started showing with Gallery Barry Keldoulis (Sydney) in 2004 since then I have had several solo and mixed exhibitions in Delhi, Mumbai, Toronto and Singapore, as well as appearing in various art fairs including Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Melbourne and Seoul. I have appeared in various prestigious awards in Australia and the UK most recently the ING Art Prize and the Jerwood drawing Prize in London. I am also represented in various private and corporate collections in Australia, India, Hong Kong, America and the UK. The themes in my work are ever changing and will no doubt continue doing so, but my love of and commitment to my practice has grown stronger throughout my career.
