Born in Cologne (Germany) 1964, I graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy Amsterdam, The Netherlands (university of applied sciences for fine arts and design in Amsterdam) in 1989.

Born in Cologne (Germany) 1964, I graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy Amsterdam, The Netherlands (university of applied sciences for fine arts and design in Amsterdam) in 1989.

After a career with for various international companies for the past 30 years (see also my linkedin profile), I now work as independent artist in the south of France.

I would label my work as abstract expressionism and see every new work as a work in progress, whereby I never know where the journey will take me. To me, the need to fill the blank sheet or canvas has become synonimous with filling a void of which the result is never the end or a final product, but rather a new step towards the unknown. To say it with Wittgenstein 'whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.' -
