Born in 1986 in Sapporo. Lives and works in Tokyo. ITOOKASHI" is an art label that expresses the philosophy and inspiration I have gained from my daily life through art and graphics. The word "Itookashi" means "very quaint", which is used in ancient texts from the Heian period. The logo also has the meaning of "lovely". Every day is quaint and lovely, whether it's a happy day, a joyful day, or a sad day that makes you feel like your heart is about to be torn apart. In ancient Japanese, the sound "kanashi" was written with the character for "love" and the word was also written as "ai (kanashi)". Like sweets, we want to be able to save people just a little. I want to be able to save people just a little bit like sweets.
