Aydin Hamami is a Turkish-American Artist living and working in Los Angeles. His work deals with issues of urban-mythology, displacement, otherness and the idea of “home”. As a first-generation American, Hamami grew up with a multicultural worldview that continues to inform his studio practice.

Aydin Hamami is a Turkish-American Artist living and working in Los Angeles. His work deals with issues of urban-mythology, displacement, otherness and the idea of “home”. As a first-generation American, Hamami grew up with a multicultural worldview that continues to inform his studio practice.

Hamami’s paintings have been shown in galleries throughout the U.S., as well as in private collections in Tokyo and Istanbul. He holds a BFA from Pratt Institute, a post-baccalaureate degree from Maryland Institute College of Art, and an MFA from The University of Maryland.
