As an artist, I am engaged in contemporary art. And my experience of participating in Russian and foreign exhibitions allows me to say that, despite many new trends in modern art, painting remains in the lead, moreover in the traditional technique-canvas, oil or acrylic.
In my works, I often combine traditional oil painting techniques with a new format. Recently, I began to use plywood as a basis for painting in my art. I create a realistic picture on a plane of plywood firure cut along the contour. So I get some deceptive volume effect. This technique is associated with the desire to bring the object out of the plane of the canvas, but at the same time to leave it picturesque. So I'm looking for new painting opportunities.
